The newest of the tattoos I want to get. The text:

I wouldn’t want to be anybody else

This phrase means a lot to me. Because most of us spend this life trying so hard to want what other people have. And then I heard this song by Selena Gomez called “Who Says”

After a a phone call with Carlos about how I was envious (envy sucks btw) the Wicked Witch because she gets to stay home while he and her current husband support her. She gets to see her kids all the time and I don’t get to see mine all the time. I work 40 hours a week, try to get my struggling artistic photo career to go somewhere and make sure my kids have what they need. Alone.

So while spending some time thinking about envy and listening to girly music I head that song by Selena and it hit me. I don’t want to be an grumpy ungrateful spiteful person who gets to do what I want. Because “I wouldn’t want to be anybody else” And I really mean it. I feel a growing moment coming on.

God made me this way. He placed me in my life to make a difference in the people’s lives that I am involved in. And it is my job to do that. So I will do that. I will be more than grateful to be me. I will be happy for my kids who are sweet and wonderful and crazy and love me tons. Because they are mine and I am more than happy that God gave me them to watch over. I will be happy to have them.

Thinking over this some more makes me happy that I am not an evil person trying to drag others down with me. Now with that being said I want to say this, prayer is amazing. It helps us grow. And I have decided that for the rest of the year I am going to pray every night for blessings, and happiness, and peace for the crazy wicked witch. Because honestly all of the torture that she puts herself through she most certainly doesn’t need any from me. So rather than be a jerk because she is I have decided to take the higher road. That road finds me praying for my enemies, and I know that is difficult for most people. But it is what God wants us and me for sure to do. So I find myself knowing that God is bigger than me, and the only person who can truly change hearts and make help people is God.

So while this post isn’t funny or amusing like my usual posts I want to say this, today I am grateful because I teeny bopper song taught me and important lesson.

Learn it people.

With all my love,
Lady X

I wouldn’t want to be anybody else

I wouldn’t wanna be anybody else.
You made me insecure
Told me I wasn’t good enough
But who are you to judge
When you’re a diamond in the rough
I’m sure you got some things
You’d like to change about yourself
But when it comes to me
I wouldn’t want to be anybody else

Na na na
Na na na

I’m no beauty queen
I’m just beautiful me

Na na na
Na na na

You’ve got every right
To a beautiful life
C’mon

[Refrain]
Who says
Who says you’re not perfect
Who says you’re not worth it
Who says you’re the only one that’s hurting
Trust me
That’s the price of beauty
Who says you’re not pretty
Who says you’re not beautiful
Who says

Selena Gomez
It’s such a funny thing
How nothing’s funny when it’s you
You tell ‘em what you mean
But they keep whiting out the truth
It’s like a work of art
That never gets to see the light
Keep you beneath the stars
Won’t let you touch the sky

Na na na
Na na na

I’m no beauty queen
I’m just beautiful me

Na na na
Na na na

You’ve got every right
To a beautiful life
C’mon

[Refrain]
Who says
Who says you’re not perfect
Who says you’re not worth it
Who says you’re the only one that’s hurting
Trust me
That’s the price of beauty
Who says you’re not pretty
Who says you’re not beautiful

Who says
Who says you’re not start potential
Who says you’re not presidential
Who says you can’t be in movies
Listen to me, listen to me
Who says you don’t pass the test
Who says you can’t be the best
Who said, who said
Won’t you tell me who said that
Yeah, oh

[Refrain]
Who says
Who says you’re not perfect
Who says you’re not worth it
Who says you’re the only one that’s hurting
Trust me
That’s the price of beauty
Who says you’re not pretty
Who says you’re not beautiful
